Introduction
Welcome aboard! We're excited to have you join the Octopus Energy team. We understand that getting started with new technology can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, but don't worry – we've got you covered. This guide will walk you through setting up your company phone step-by-step.
If you run into any problems along the way, try rebooting your phone and following the instructions again. If the issue persists, contact our tech support team at techops-help@octopusenergy.group – we're here to help 😀

Power up your phone and connect to wifi
Turn on your phone and follow the setup instructions until you reach the "Choose a Wi-Fi network" screen.
Connect to a stable Wi-Fi connection (you won't be able to proceed using your SIM card's cellular data.)

Go through data and privacy
After you’ve connected to Wifi, you’ll see a message saying “This device belongs to your organisation.” Please take good care of it, and remember to return it if you decide to sail to new horizons.
Follow the on-screen prompts, including accepting Google services (location data, diagnostics data, etc.)

Install work apps and sign in with Okta
Follow the onscreen instructions:
Set a screen lock with a 6-digit pin.
Tap on “Install work apps” to download them automatically.
Sign in with Okta using your Okta email address and password: You should have received an email to activate your Okta account and set your password. If you can't remember it or you're getting an "Unable to sign in" error, you'll need to request a reset. Contact TechOps, or your onboarder for assistance.
Once you’ve signed in, the phone will take you to the home screen. Voilà!

Sign into Google Chrome and set up Sync
Open Chrome and select “add account to device”
Use your Okta username and password to sign in.
Follow the steps to set up Google Chrome Sync. This means that all your passwords, history and bookmarks will be backed up, so if you ever change device, it can be easily restored.
What's Next?
Congratulations on getting this far, now head to Part 2 of the onboarding guide to set up Okta Verify.
